For a European, Hawaii travel seems to be something totally unreal. Completely other side of the world with 12 hours time difference. So I seriously studied a lot what to pack to be ready for almost everything.

🌸Before travelTravelling with carry-on only requires smart packing: take less and use it more. Later you are more mobile, no time waste on picking up the luggage, no additional costs for that, no risk that your suitcase will get lost.
2 essential things to do before travel: check the weather & make a list of the activities you plan to do at the destination, different activities = totally different things to pack.
☑ beach (light weight towel, swimmsuit, flip flops, hat, etc)
☑ exploring places, cities
☑ diners + evening shows
☑ going out / parties
☑ additionally what to wear on the plane (warm and comfy)
Its a tropical destination
Means it is hot there AND can be (a super little bit) rainy, depending on the season (from November).
PACK a super light weight rain jacket, like this one / Tchibo rain jacket.
Tipp: wear your rain jacket upon your other clothes (sporty shirt, t-shirt, top) while leaving your country on the way to the airport. Keep in mind you travel to the airport only 1 or few hours in a bus/taxi/train. You will not need neither warm bulky pullovers there, nor warm pants or winter shoes (only if you are going to seriously hike there)
You are going to swim. I lot.
PACK minimum 3 swimsuits / bikini. And at least one closed if you plan to do snorkeling as the reefs at Shark Cove where were quite sharp.
You will be also sweaty and sticky :)
and believe me, you will not want to wear anything tight. Pack light weight breathable wide tops and bottoms. Plan your outfit with cute bikini tops, so your can be ready for any activity after swimming.

at Cheesecake Factory, Honolulu, Oahu
Neckholder light weight dresses are my favorites, as you can wear them at the beach, in the city and also in the evening with nice shoes.
